Estate-grown in the Awatere Valley, the inpressive 2017 vintage (5*) was mostly lees-aged for six months in tanks; 12% of the blend was barrel-fermented.  Full of personality, it is weighty and fleshy, with generous, vibrant, ripely herbaceous flavours, slightly minerally notes and a lsting, bone-dry textured finish.  Well worth discovering. Michael Cooper OBE
