Managed by Michel Chignard and his son Cedric, Domaine Chignard is located right at the top of the hill bordering Moulin-Vent, in the heart of the Fleurie appellation. Fleurie is one of the ten Crus of the Beaujolais, and the Chignard family owns one of the best site in this appellation: the Moriers lieu-dit - 8ha of vines over 50-years-old.
This quality of vines, coupled with Michel and Cedric know-how make amazing wines, unusually concentrated, intensely aromatic with great depth. Michel Chignard’s wines – made with a steadfast dedication to the region’s traditions – are a great example of this exciting world.
"A wonderful, floral bouquet with wilted rose petals and violets infusing the pure red berry fruit that is well defined and gains intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, good weight in the mouth and a gradual build towards the red plum and cranberry finish. Harmonious and composed from start to finish." 91/100 RP 92/100 JR
