From a picturesque farm typical of this most southerly part of Normandy the Gontier family have for six generations been producing the highest quality farm produced Calvados Domfrontais. The appellation constitutes that at least 30% pears are used in the production of Calvados Domfrontais. After eleven months in oak barrels the cider is distilled using a wood fired single alambic still which visits the farm every year in September. All grown organically, made by natural processes, only vintage Gontier Calvados is a classic.
