The Bandol region in Provence has the reputation of producing the best rose in the world and the Veyrolles that have being bringing in for a number of years is right up there in quality. This highly regarded domaine has one of the best sites in Cadiere d'Azure. Rosé constitutes approx. 40% of the production. This wine is made with 70% Mourvedre, 20% Cinsault and 10% Grenache, Very pale pink in colour the bouquet is delicately soft with good depth of stonefruit aromas and red berry fruits, along with herbs and flint. Dry to taste, subtle rich flavours are encompassed by weight and vinosity, the fruit showing a degree of lusciousness and well-matched by alcohol drive. This is a classical dry Bandol rosé with subtle richness and excellent weight. The ultimate in Rose " Made in a tiny cellar in a small town called La Cadière d’Azur on the Côte d’Azur. The vineyards sit in a natural amphitheatre creating a micro-climate for the production of very healthy grapes. The vineyards are treated as organically as possible, although not certified. Made entirely from press juice, with all of the varieties being vinified separately and the final assemblage made in the Autumn just before bottling. Winemaker Leonardo Bellacaccini.
