A new vintage release of a label that has really started to take traction. Winemaker Theo Coles sources the fruit from the Limestone Hills – inland Waipara (next to Gareth Renowden’s truffiere). Bright fresh and framboise-like when first opened, this changed overnight to a much more brooding, plum and savoury wine, very typically Limestone Waipara. Most of this is exported – both the US and Japan have become big followers, so stocks here are limited – snooze and you lose.
