A premium Barbera from Piedmont's leading specialist in the variety. Vietti makes almost as many Barbera as Barolo wines, such is his commitment to this 'minor' variety. The wonderful Scarrone is from a special vineyard near the winery in Castiglione Falletto, where lovingly tended vines are very close planted (6500 per hectare) and produce tiny quantities of around 5 ton per hectare. A lush and structured wine with deep fruit character and quality, the Scarrone is a treasure.
