A 5 hectares old vines bloc on a clay-limestone terroir totally selected specially for this wine – 3rd terrace of Lot Valley.
Very low yield, 1,3 kg of grape-plant – 30 Hl/ha.
Maceration takes place during 40 days. The wine is ageing during 24 months in new oak barrels with regular stirring of the lees (for 6 month).
Wine-maturing in 100% new oak barrels issued from the center area of France (fine selection of several coopers).
The aim of using barrels from different origins is to highlight the terroir expression but also the Lamartine style: more concentration than extraction. A pure alliance of power and elegance. Very nice morello cherry and chocolate notes.
