100% Cabernet Franc. Approximately 75% of the grapes for this wine derive from the chalky soils of Les Arboises, on the famous, limestone rich Brézé hill, with the rest of the fruit coming from the mature Les Motelles vineyard, on chalky sand and gravel over clay. Today this wine is naturally fermented and aged in concrete - for six months - and is made from 100% destemmed fruit. This is some kind of wonderful so we're understandably gutted that there is so little available. It's beautifully bright and lifted, with plump cherry fruit sweetness anchored by fruity, crunchy acidity and a crushed herb complexity. It won't last...
